It was about 6 months old and had zero human interaction skills. I immediately began feeding it and building trust. On the fifth day I was able to lure the dog inside because it was raining. I called my non euthanizing animal shelter and they immediately came to pick him up. Moments before loading the dog in the truck, he bit through the leash and began running towards the busy highway. I quickly managed to grab the scared dog from behind which resulted in a dog bite to my hand. In the end it went really well. The shelter said they would place him in their border collie rescue program. The police officer called me a hero and said they had been trying to catch this dog for months.
