Robert Alexander's of Lincoln, North Carolina, are there newspaper articles, as far away as Savannah, Georgia, describing "meteoric-lights across the skies", "feeling of being on a boat, on a heavy swell of seas"...

...& IF such another cosmic-intruder were to pass so closely, leaving its trail of debris, & everyone at the time had put full blame on, thinking its entirety had hit the Ohio river, or "it had touched the mountain of California", IF someone in Louisville, Kentucky "can see a needle on the floor", in the middle of night...
...& IF California's no longer an island, & every city west of Appalachias sank down,.. would seismologists still want to put blame on a crack, under so many feet soft-sediments, that would have dampened, not "amplified" the force...
...Seth Stein put the faults on GPS, it didn't move millimeters in years, during which recording all kinds earthquakes on register 3-4 on Richter, recording upper sediments filling chasms, internal-landslides, just a little over a century ago, Loosahatchie river was wide enough for two river-boats to pass, land settling southward has thinned this river considerably...
